Congleton & District Fly-Fishers was founded in the early eighties specifically to remove the barriers, real or imaginary and make fly-fishing for trout available to anyone who wished to participate.

Westlowmere is closed until further notice for trout fishing due to high water temperature +23 deg C. Hopefully this hot spell will cease and water temperatures return to acceptable levels for fishing. This decision will be reviewed on a weekly basis every Saturday.

Fishery will reopen when water temperature drops to below 20 degC.
Reviews will continue on Saturdays.
Carp fishery is open as usual but customers may have to use the out of hours kiosk to buy their ticket.
As you approach the small sign indicating the Westlow Mere Fishery, turn off Giantswood Lane down our private road. The entrance to the Fishery is just beyond our large green clubhouse with ample parking beyond the gate. A short stroll from the parking area, surrounded by lush greenery, creating the perfect atmosphere for a day of fly fishing.

The Waters
In the main lake "the Deeps" we offer fly fishing for trout - Rainbows, Blues & Browns (all triploids).
The smaller lake is stocked with Mirror & Common Carp, ranging in size from around 6lb to 20lb plus which can be fished using traditional coarse fishing methods or on the fly.
